IoT-engineer for DigiTwin project
Are you interested in Internet of Things (IoT), machine design and digital twins? Would you like to be a part of perhaps the most advanced research group that combines machine design and digital twins?
Aalto University Department of Mechanical Engineering http://mecheng.aalto.fi is looking for a person that has the skill and the will to update machine design principles to the digital era. In practice, this means bringing IoT data along to the machine design process.
The project consortium has already developed ideas on how this could be implemented. However, the matter should be investigated more thoroughly, and that is where we need your contribution.
The work can be started as a master’s thesis or straight as doctoral studies, with the goal make a doctoral thesis about the subject.
The post of doctoral student position is four years (2 + 2). A doctoral dissertation means that you will become the most skilled at least in Finland, perhaps in the world.

The salary is based on the salary system in use at Aalto University.
