The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science (JCNS) operates at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ) in Garching near Munich a suite of high-performance neutron scattering instruments. It provides access to these instruments for scientists from universities and research institutions in Germany and throughout the world. Within the user program more than 1,000 scientists visit the MLZ every year to perform experiments in the physical, chemical, biological, and materials sciences. In addition, JCNS is actively pursuing a research program in the field of soft matter science and condensed matter physics. JCNS Neutron SimLab supports facility scientists and users with software solutions and infrastructure for each step of their scientific workflow: from planning the neutron experiment to the data acquisition to the data reduction and analysis. JCNS Neutron SimLab is looking for a highly motivated postdoc, preferably at Jülich, to support the team in the development of software solutions for data management and analysis, including implementation of AI-assisted methods.

The position is for a fixed term of two years. Salary and social security benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund), pay group 13, depending on your current qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to you.
