YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

The BEoL process engineer will work in ISO 5 / ISO4 cleanroom environment using state of the art semiconductor equipment and characterization tools primarily in the field of back-end-of-line of wafer processing for applications in MEMS and heterogeneous integration. 
Your future responsibilities include: 
 

  • Main responsible and tool owner of BEoL area (CMP, Saw Dicing, Grinding, Bonding)
  • Provide technical expertise and support on the fabrication steps involving BEoL wafer processing
  • Train and supervise internal users
  • Cooperate with maintenance team and equipment supplier to ensure the best equipment performance (troubleshooting, PM, calibration, upgrades)
  • Ensure up-to-date equipment documentation (SOP, SPC …)
  • Execute sample processing for internal/external research projects including reporting
  • Elaborate documentation for acquisition of new cleanroom equipment

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor (+7 years of work experience) / Master (+5 years work experience) / PhD in relevant Engineering field
  • Related work experience in the field of BEoL wafer processing
  • Expertise in one or ideally more techniques such as CMP, Saw Dicing, Wafer Grinding, ECD or Bonding
  • Experience in MEMS fabrication or packaging is an advantage
  • Experience with industrial equipment is a plus
  • Proficiency in English. German is an asset
  • A good team player with effective communication skills

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E3 salary = EUR 3804, paid 14 times a year). For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum salary of EUR 61.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract and bonus).
