Your future responsibilities
As part of our growth and new project acquisition we would like to strengthen our design engineer teams. We are looking for a micro acoustic structural modelling and simulation design engineer who will be responsible for the development of new resonators structure and filter design.
The recruited candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Resonator design and modelling of new microstructures. 2D and 3D Multiphysics simulations of resonators (COMSOL or equivalent software)

Experience in design of resonator-based filters (ladder filters, CRF)

Design of SAW/BAW filters prototypes
-
Analytical modelling of BAW resonators (BVD model, Transfer Matrix, Mason equivalent circuit)
-
Coupling-Of-Modes (COM) analysis of SAW resonators
-
Good understanding of microfabrication constrains for the development of next generation of acoustic wave resonators for RF MEMS Filters application was well as SAW sensors

Characterization of resonators and filters
-
Extraction of resonators parameters and comparison to models.

Writing of the invention disclosures leading to patents of new solutions to solve the current technical challenges in next generation of RF MEMS Filters and SAW sensors
Your profile
-
PhD in design and modelling in acoustic wave resonators with strong theoretical and analytical background

Good understanding of the current challenges in the design and modelling of next generation of RF filters for 5 G applications

Good knowledge of piezoelectric and electrostatic MEMS transducers
-
Excellent oral & written English skills

Familiarity with project managing desirable

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E1 salary = EUR 3.827, paid 14 times a year). For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 61.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract).
