The position is opened in the context of the ELT/METIS project for astronomy and astrophysics. The I. Physics Institute, as a consortium member, is responsible for the delivery of the Warm Calibration Unit. This activity is being pursued since 2016 in the group of Prof. L. The position is available on a full-time basis for initial period of 1 year starting at earliest beginning of june 2019 with a possible renewal for up to three years from July 2020 once the next third-party funding application is successful. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
