Would you like to nurture, inspire, and educate the next generation of software engineers? Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is looking for a lecturer in the department of Mathematics and Computer Science focusing on one or more of the following software engineering education topics: programming, testing and software development methodologies.
Eindhoven University of Technology is one of the leading academic institutions in the Netherlands, and one of the four Dutch universities of technology. It is focused on training the next generation of engineers of various disciplines and totaling over 12.800 students with almost 30% of them coming from abroad. The faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science has the most enrolled students among the faculties, totaling 2544 in 2022/2023.
The Software Engineering and Technology cluster of the department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers a broad spectrum of bachelor and master courses addressing various aspects of software engineering, ranging from basic programming to design of modern large scale software systems, and from human-computer interaction to establishing correctness of software. We play a crucial role in both bachelor and master programs on Computer Science and Engineering and support bachelor programs in Data Science, Mathematics and Physics.
We are looking for great candidates with passion for teaching the next generation of software engineers and sharing your passion for one or more of the following topics: programming; testing or software development methodologies; project management; SCRUM; collaborative tools; software supply chain. The candidate will be expected both to contribute to existing courses offered by the cluster, and to take responsibility for teaching and developing new courses. Furthermore, the candidate will be expected to supervise groups, and (co-)supervising final bachelor and master projects.
The candidate will be expected to acquire the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ).
