The School of Engineering at EPFL invites applications for a faculty position in Bioengineering Technologies. Appointments will be at the Tenure Track Assistant Professor level. We seek exceptional individuals who will develop and lead a research program at the forefront of the discipline and who will have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate-level teaching.
We look for innovative individuals to develop next generation measurement technologies in the broad field of bioengineering and/or biomedical engineering, with a strong focus on tool development, devices and instrumentation. Approaches include, but are not limited to: bio-imaging/bio-microscopy, biophysics, single molecule tracking and force spectroscopy, micro/nanofluidics, electron microscopy, scanning probe microscopy, biosensors and bioelectronics, biomedical devices, bioengineering lab automation.
Thematic links to research topics at the Institute of Bioengineering, or wherever relevant at the School of Engineering, School of Life Sciences and School of Basic Science, are strongly encouraged.
The candidate’s ability to teach STEM subjects and/or bioengineering topics will be a key selection criterion.
