The University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, invites applications for a full professor position or assistant professorship (tenure track) (100%) in social and cultural geography.

Requirements:
Candidates must hold a doctorate in geography (or equivalent titles) and a publication record related to the profile of the position. As a signatory of the DORA declaration, the University of Neuchâtel attaches importance to a qualitativem assessment of candidates’ academic activities. Fluency in French (after a transition period) and English are required.
Teaching : 7 periods of 45’ per week (Full professor) or 4 periods of 45’ per week (Assistant professor), divided between BA and MA.
Supervision: Participation in student supervision, in particular for master and doctoral theses.
Administration: Participation in the administration of the Institute of Geography, and of the Faculty/University. Executive management of the institute on a rotating basis.
Research: Development of fundamental and/or applied research in the field of social and cultural geography. Participation in the research activities of the Institute of Geography (www.unine.ch/geographie) and of the Center for the Understanding of Social Processes (www.unine.ch/maps) as well as in national (doctoral schools in particular) and international networks relating to her or his research fields. Ability to obtain research funds.
