After a positive tenure evaluation in the sixth year, the candidates are appointed associate professors (level W2, permanent position). Both evaluation procedures are based on a target agreement which is part of the appointment negotiations. The target agreement and a written confirmation verifying the negotiated financial and personal resources of the professorship are an integral part of the acceptance agreement between university and candidates.
