The school of Architecture and Civil Engineering,
field of theory and discourse of the design,

invites applications for

a position as

Research Assistant.

This position is to be filled as soon as possible and limited for 3 years and with 50 % of the tariff working hours.

Salary: E 13 TV-L

Professional and personal requirements:

• Completed university degree (Master’s or comparable), preferably in architecture
• Knowledge of experimental architectural design, particularly with a focus on the interrelationships between machine and human vision
• Candidates will have knowledge of 3D scanning, animated visualizations, VR and AR applications, and experimental material applications and digital fabrication
• Very good knowledge of the German and English languages, both written and spoken
• Experience in working with students is an advantage
• Experience with writing research proposals an advantage

Responsibilities and duties:

• Support in the preparation and implementation of courses, especially tutorials on the topic of digital design (max. 2 LVS)
• Support in the supervision of students and the conception and scientific accompaniment of design projects, seminars, and stepping stones
• Acquisition of grants/third-party funding

This is a qualification position within the meaning of the Science Time Contract Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG), which can be filled to promote scientific or artistic qualification. The duration of the employment contract shall be appropriate to the scientific qualification sought.
